<<<<<<<August 30, 2021 – I am taking offers for purchase of the entire set of six models. Offers do NOT include shipping costs; due to their size and fragility they will be shipped in multiple boxes. Offers will be accepted until 9pm PST on September 7, 2021. Offers may be sent to lupa.greenwolf@gmail.com.>>>>>>>
In 2020, I began what would be a massive model customization project taking over a year to complete, finishing them in August 2021. Starting with six Breyer model animals of modern species, I transformed them through sculpture, painting, and hairing into a variety of extinct Pleistocene megafauna. While I don’t have an exact tally, I spent well over a hundred hours researching, designing, and creating these models. It’s my first foray into paleoart, but likely not my last.
All models have had my standard prep work done to them before customizing, including removal of Breyer logos and seams. For model hobbyists, I do NOT guarantee LSQ; as these are handmade works of art, they may have minor flaws like irregularities in paint or plastic/putty. Also, as the cave paintings are particularly delicate, it may not be a good idea to be carting these around to events; they are intended to be art enjoyed in situ.
