Otter Face Pouch.

This otter face was scrap left over from the fur trade; I stitched up all the holes to make it into a practical but attractive pouch. It ties shut in the back with a braided cord; in the front I added a decorative panel of brown deerskin on which I painted a stylized otter silhouette in copper paint, and silver streaks for its river home. Antler adorns the tip, as well as the ends of two dangles with copper, pewter, and wooden beads.
