I was fortunate enough to come by some old china and other pottery and ceramic shards excavated from a Portland housing site; they’re estimated to be about 100 years old. I cleaned it thoroughly, and decoupaged a reproduction of a skeleton of Amphibia seymouria from a vintage public domain book, “Evolution of the Speech Apparatus” by E. Lloyd DuBrul. I added extra coloration around the edges with graphite, and wrapped the piece in black-coated copper wire left over from another project.
